Frequently asked questions
How Do You Source Your Nannies?
We find our nannies by advertising online, in childcare groups, bulletins, flyers, and by word of mouth.
Can I meet The Nanny Ahead of Time?
For families seeking a nanny with a regular schedule, we believe it’s important for you to meet them as part of the interview process. We help coordinate this meeting so both you and the nanny have the opportunity to connect and ensure it’s the right fit for everyone.
For occasional or one-time childcare needs, you’ll still receive the same high-quality care from our thoroughly vetted Sunshine Nannies. While you may not meet the nanny in advance for these shorter-term requests, you’ll receive a photo, detailed information sheet, and a bio ahead of time so you can feel confident and well-prepared.
What If I Have A Change of Plans or Schedule?
We’re always here to support you with any schedule changes. If you have a last-minute request or need to adjust your existing plans, please reach out to us as soon as possible—we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs or coordinate with your regularly scheduled nanny.
If you have an ongoing relationship with a nanny and find it easier to discuss schedule changes directly with them, that’s perfectly fine. Your nanny will keep us updated so we can ensure everything stays organized on our end.
What Duties Should I Expect Nannies to Perform?
Sunshine nannies understand that their role goes beyond simply caring for your children—it also includes helping to maintain a tidy and organized home environment. While we are not a cleaning service, our nannies are happy to assist with everyday household tasks related to the children, such as washing dishes, folding laundry, tidying play areas, and helping with general daily upkeep.
